1. Apprenticeship Programmes (Ausbildungen) in Germany

Apprenticeship programmes (Ausbildungen) are training programmes offered in Germany for school leavers who do not enroll for degree programmes.

Students enrolled for these programmes are employed in a company where they work partially and the rest of the time they have to attend schools. Depending on the type of the programme, students can either combine the work and train model weekly or blocked in months. The programme takes 3 years and students are paid a small salary. For one to enroll for the programmes, a host company/training institution is a requirement plus very good German language.

AG-Career Hub in collaboration with Hochschule Koblenz and Mount Kenya University are offering people interested in joining apprenticeship programmes a chance to grow their career in Germany. See our current pilot project in Kenya: Preparatory Certificate in Healthcare Assistant training programme.
