The academic collaborations between Germany and Kenya have opened up significant opportunities, fostering exchange programs, research initiatives, and joint projects that benefit both institutions and students.
Kenyan universities are actively seeking partnerships with German universities to further advance this agenda. As Kenyans who have studied, trained, and worked in Germany, we are uniquely positioned to facilitate these collaborations. Our deep understanding of the academic and cultural landscapes in both countries allows us to effectively identify the needs of partner universities and support the successful execution of collaborative projects. This is our focus on the academic partnership desk.

First pilot project at Mount Kenya University
The German labor market is increasingly defined by a widespread shortage of qualified workers, with the nursing profession being one of the sectors most severely affected. Various studies forecast a deficit of up to 500,000 nurses in Germany by 2030. Recruiting nurses from abroad is one strategy to address this shortage. However, due to several factors, efforts to attract and integrate foreign nurses have only been partially successful.
