Applications are now open for the 2027 KAS Scholarship Program.

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.V. awards full scholarships for a Master’s degree (standard duration: four semesters) or a doctoral program at a university in Germany. KAS is looking for socially or politically engaged students and doctoral candidates from all disciplines who can demonstrate German language proficiency at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference. Excellent academic performance and a positive attitude toward democracy, pluralism, and human rights are also required.

Excellent academic performance and a positive attitude toward democracy, pluralism, and human rights are also required. The program is aimed at young academics from Kenia, Uganda and South Sudan, Tanzania and Ethiopia. In addition to financial support, our scholarship holders benefit from:

  • Access to an international network of over 15,000 current and former scholarship recipients of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung,
  • A comprehensive seminar program accompanying their studies, and the opportunity to organize their own seminars and events,
  • Personal guidance during their studies and career planning by the Foreign Student Support team and our trusted university advisors.
