Profile

Irene Bibi is a Senior German Language Educator, Consultant, and Advisor with over 30 years of international experience in language teaching, examinations, academic leadership, and educational consulting across Africa, North America, and Europe. She has an extensive background in working with adult learners, young professionals, and migrant communities in academic and professional contexts linked to Germany.

Irene worked for close to two decades as Head of Language Courses and Examinations at the Goethe-Institut Nairobi, where she was charged with the responsibility for program development, curriculum design, staff leadership, strategic planning, and quality assurance in Kenya and in 11 other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. She has proven experience in education management, language
assessment, and institutional advisory roles, including representation at senior and public forums. Irene taught German and German Studies at university level and has experience in syllabus development and higher-education programs. She is known for driving online and blended learning innovation, ensuring continuity of language education during periods of disruption.

Irene is currently based in Leipzig, teaching German and English while providing consulting and advisory support in intercultural communication, migrant education, integration pathways, and professional orientation. She combines pedagogical expertise with a consulting mindset, acting as a cultural mediator who uses language as a strategic tool to bridge cultures, support transitions, and build inclusive communities.
