About the role

Due to our dynamic growth, we are currently looking for a (Senior) Risk Analyst who will oversee the Project Risk function, conducting continuous risk assessment and reporting for Projects. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with Corporate Risk Management, implementing the risk function within the Business Unit Projects, and driving continuous improvement for lean processes and enhanced data flows, ensuring consistent standards with Corporate Risk Management and Senior Management.

The position will be based at our headquarters in Munich. Remote working within Germany is also possible.
What You Will Do

  • You will design and roll out the risk reporting process and template and form the interface with Corporate Risk Management,
  • Senior Management for Projects and subsidiary operational risk management.
  • You will develop a comprehensive risk matrix covering all relevant risk categories in the Projects business model and materiality levels, compliant with capital market standards and regulatory requirements.
  • You will review and assess the plausibility of risks at project and subsidiary level.
  • You will regularly prepare an overview of the material risks in our project business and share it with relevant stakeholders to ensure project risk transparency to relevant stakeholders, particularly the Projects Executive Team and the Group.
  • You will carry out special analyses and ad-hoc inquiries.
  • You will work with the Portfolio Intelligence Team to establish an optimized data flow of project risk data to the portfolio database.
  • You will ensure close alignment with Corporate Risk Management on the group-wide project risk reporting process.
  • You will liaise with other Finance and Commercial functions in the Business Unit to implement tools, streamline processes, and provide analyses and reporting, particularly within the Finance team.

Your Profile

  • University degree in business administration, economics, law or related area
  • At least 2-3 years of qualified professional experience, e.g. in risk management in a corporate group, financial institution, audit or consulting firm or in the renewable energy project business.
  • Ability to conduct risk analysis and present it effectively to specific stakeholder groups, including board level.
  • Analytical and conceptual mindset and independent working style.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of analysing data sets, BI/analytics, reporting platforms and data visualisation techniques and tools.
  • Interest in project risk concepts and generally in renewable energy project business
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners and to translate complex information into key messages.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to challenges and a 'getting things done' mindset.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English knowledge of German and other languages is a plus.
